Sharing Poll Results

Share your poll results with stakeholders, on social media, or in presentations.

Accessing the Share Feature

  1. Go to your poll's Results page
  2. Click the "Share Results" button
  3. A modal will open with sharing options
The Share Results feature is available to everyone who views the results page, not just the poll creator.

Download as Image

Create a shareable PNG image of your poll results. Perfect for:

  • Posting on social media (Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn)
  • Including in presentations or reports
  • Sharing in messaging apps (Slack, Teams, Discord)
  • Embedding in documents or emails
Image Features
  • Light & Dark themes - Choose the theme that matches your brand or preference
  • Results visualization - Shows vote counts and percentages with progress bars
  • Poll status - Indicates whether the poll is active or closed
  • PollThem branding - Includes the poll URL for easy access
Tip: The image captures the current state of results. For active polls, consider waiting until voting is complete for final results.

Copy Text Summary

Copy a formatted text summary of your results to the clipboard. This is great for:

  • Pasting into chat messages or emails
  • Quick sharing in team communications
  • Text-based platforms where images aren't ideal
Summary Format

The text summary includes:

  • Poll title and status
  • All options with vote counts/points and percentages
  • Medal emojis for top 3 options
  • Total vote count
  • Link to the poll

Social share links include the poll title and a direct link. When shared, recipients can click through to view full results or cast their vote if the poll is still active.

DateTime Poll Results

For scheduling (DateTime) polls, the share feature shows:

  • Number of participants who responded
  • The best option (most "Yes" responses)
  • The final decision if the poll is closed with a selection

Times are displayed in your selected timezone from the results page.

Data Retention & Archiving

Important: Polls are automatically deleted after 1 year. Download or share your results before then if you need to keep them.

To preserve your poll results long-term:

  • Download as PNG - Creates a permanent image file you can store locally
  • Copy text summary - Save the formatted results to a document
  • Export to calendar - For DateTime polls, the ICS file preserves the final decision
